Analysis, Design, and Testing Division

The Analysis, Design, and Testing (ADT) Division is concerned with the understanding of physical phenomena associated with the performance of composite materials and structures and the application of this understanding to the development of engineering design methods. Examples include the following:

•    Mechanics of composites, including multi-scale and multi-functional composites
•    Design methods, including reliability- and optimization-based design
•    Development and standardization of test methods

The goals of the ADT Division are to:
 
•    Encourage the organization of technical sessions at the ASC Annual Technical Conference.
      - Select session names
      - Target and invite presenters
      - Chair sessions
•    Submit papers in the ADT category to the ASC Awards Committee for consideration for the Society-wide Best Paper Award

All members of ASC are encouraged to contact the Division Chair to join the ADT Division and help meet the goals.
