The 22nd Annual Technical Conference of the American Society for Composites (ASC) was held from September 17–19, 2007, at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. The conference was chaired by Prof. Paolo Feraboli (University of Washington) and Dr. Patrick Stickler (Boeing 787 Technology Integration).

Supported by The Boeing Company and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), the conference focused on the theme "Composites: Enabling a New Era in Civil Aviation", emphasizing the critical role of composites in the future of aerospace structures.

Over 300 attendees participated in the conference, with more than 160 technical papers presented across a wide range of topics, including advanced analysis methods, manufacturing and processing, bonded joints and repairs, nanocomposites, and emerging technologies. A special honorary session was also dedicated to Dr. T. Kevin O'Brien, recognizing his contributions to the composites field.
